Sono felice di annunciare che a soli 12 mesi di produzioni DJ Maya Jane Coles sta per pubblicare il suo primo EP, “Easier To Hide”. Nel corso degli ultimi 18 mesi Maya si è esibito in più di 30 paesi, ha vinto numerosi premi, ha avuto milioni di visualizzazioni su YouTube, un milione contatti su soundcloud, ha ottenuto più di 100.000 fan su Facebook, abbellito circa una decina di copertine di riviste e anche suonato nel concerto World’s Largest Mirror Ball.
4 original tracks tutte scritte, prodotte, mixate, cantate e progettate da Maya. Il titolo della traccia “Easier To Hide” è tratto dal prossimo album di debutto di Maya, in programma per la Primavera 2013.

Multi-award winning producer/DJ Maya Jane Coles releases her first EP in 12 months; “Easier To Hide’. A truly diverse release comprising of four original tracks all written, produced, played, vocalled, engineered and mixed by Maya; to give just a taste of what’s lies in store from her forthcoming debut album; scheduled for an early Spring 2013 release.
Over the course of the last 18 months Maya has seen her star rise phenomenally. Now highly sought as both a producer and a DJ; Maya has performed in over 30 countries, won multiple awards, had millions of YouTube views, a million plus spins on Sound cloud, gained more than a 100,000 Facebook fans, graced around a dozen magazine covers, played a bespoke gig under the World’s Largest Mirror Ball, produced for new talent, and remixed artists as diverse as Little Dragon, Florence & The Machine, and Lianne La Havas right through to Frank Roger, Phil Kiernan & White Noise and even Tricky!
Somewhere amongst the international studio work, festivals and clubs shows; Maya’s also found the time to release her first ever compilation through K7 as part of the DJ Kicks Mix series. Hitting shelves in April 2012 the mix and landed to much critical acclaim garnering award nominations and is proving to be one of the most successful selling releases in the series so far.
The K7 release also included two original tracks from Maya both under her real name and using her ‘Nocturnal Sunshine’ alias too; with further original Maya productions appearing on multi-artist EPs for her original label home Dogmatik and for Heidi’s newly launched Jackathon Jams label alongside a track by Miss Kittin.
Increasingly Maya has chosen to make music that can’t just be lazily lumped in one niche and does so with a great deal of skill, emotion and attention to detail.
Title track “Easier To Hide” is taken from Maya’s coming debut album, and shows Maya’s innate ability to create hooks laden house and electronica; the guitar-driven subtle stomper ‘Over’ is poles apart from the sparse, dub lament of “Back to Square One” whilst Maya ventures into deeper waters with “Run With The Wild”. Indeed this release serves only to further illustrate just how broad Maya’s musical palette is but with a sound and sensibility that is unmistakably threads through the package tying the work into one well rounded whole.
The “Easier to Hide” EP also marks the first release from Maya Jane Coles own label; ‘I Am Me’ and his time around, for that extra personal touch, Maya’s also designed the artwork for the EP.
With first time tours of Australia and New Zealand on the horizon as well as events like Les Transmusicales, Warehouse Project and a London homecoming show all happening in December, coupled with the release of “Easier To Hide” EP; it looks like there is still some life still left in 2012 after all.
