SUMMARY:Retina Live Video Art Festival at Brancaleone (Roma\, It)
DESCRIPTION:RETINA LIVE VIDEO ART FESTIVAL \nTorna a Roma il Festival Internazionale interamente dedicato alla Video Arte a cura di Artelligent.org. Il secondo appuntamento del Retina Festival è fissato per il 12 e 13 marzo presso gli spazi del CENTRO CULTURALE BRANCALEONE: in questa occasione il focus dell’evento è sulle performance live audio/video ad opera di artisti italiani di fama internazionale. \n  \nIl Retina LIVE Video Art Festival è la seconda parte dell’evento interamente dedicato alla video arte e alle performance audio-visuali dal vivo per la città di Roma\, prodotto dall’associazione Artelligent.org con il patrocinio dell’Università Sapienza e con il supporto dell’Assessorato alla Cultura\, Creatività\, Promozione artistica e Turismo e di Zètema Progetto Cultura. \nDopo aver contato più di mille visitatori durante la sessione inaugurale presso gli spazi  espositivi del Macro Factory La Pelanda\, il 12/13 marzo Retina Festival si muove dal cuore di Roma alla sua periferia\, con una manifestazione negli spazi del Brancaleone\, storico spazio romano dedicato alla musica elettronica e alla sperimentazione. Il festival\, gratuito in entrambe le serate\, sarà un’occasione di riflessione e di dialogo sulla metropoli attraverso un’indagine sull’arte contemporanea nei video. La Main Room accoglierà quattro performance ad opera dei più rappresentativi esponenti italiani dell’arte audiovisiva dal vivo: Decomposer\, Martux_m&Lanvideosources\, Plaster\, Retina.it\, Etere project (Lino Strangis). \nGiovedì 12 è prevista la tavola rotonda “La cura del video” a cura di Dalila D’amico con interventi dei principali operatori nel campo dell’allestimento e della produzione di eventi dedicati alla video-arte nella Capitale\, in cui si analizzeranno strategie organizzative\, ricerca artistica\,  logiche economiche e vincoli burocratici. Partecipano Veronica D’Auria (CARMA Centro di Ricerca Arti Multimediali)\, Valentino Catricalà (Media Art Festival)\, Gianluca Del Gobbo (LPM)\, Monica Ratti (Hi Dance Festival) Lino Strangis (video artista). In serata\, parallelamente ai Live Set\, i Neocortex mappano una superficie architettonica esterna del Brancaleone\, proiettando sulla facciata dei video tridimensionali. \nLino Strangis\, uno dei principali esponenti della video-arte a Roma\, partecipa con il suo nuovo progetto Audiovisivo dal vivo E T E R E Project composto insieme a Giovanni Paris e Roberto Liberati più gli interventi vocali di Giulia Pellini.  Nella performance “Modificazioni”  il video è inteso e proposto come una forma sperimentale di scrittura musicale\, come una partitura aleatoria in cui i movimenti degli oggetti ed il ritmo del montaggio sono indicazioni a cui i musicisti si attengono in modi differenti e liberi. \nLa giornata di venerdì è dedicata esclusivamente ai Live Set Audiovideo e ai djset di Andreas Sarmanis e Giulio Maresca. \nInoltre per chi non avesse partecipato alla mostra allestita presso gli spazi del Macro\, nella Sala Cinema della nuova location vengono riproposti i 22 progetti ad opera di creativi digitali selezionati da tutto il mondo. Agostino Ticino\, musicista con lunghi studi di chitarra classica\, produce musica elettronica dal 2001 a Roma\, che va dagli OSTs per documentari alla dance music. ll progetto rappresenta un luogo di sperimentazione\, una realtà in cui il rumore organico\, gli strumenti e le registrazioni dal vivo interagiscono tra loro e percorrono la strada delle tecniche digitali di composizione e di de-composizione. \nMartux_M aka Maurizio Martusciello: musicista\, compositore\, performer\, sound artist\, produttore. Lavora essenzialmente su sensazioni ritmiche\, dinamiche\, temporali\, tattili e cinetiche\, utilizzando indifferentemente sia il canale sonoro che quello visivo. Un’interzona tra cinema impuro e architetture sonore\, attraversamenti\, dislocamenti\, alla ricerca di tensioni. Campionamenti visivi\, melodie cromatiche\, frame come sequenze reiterate e ripetitive\, immagini che delimitano ambienti musicali\, memorie di cose irriconoscibili\, duplicazioni\, ombre\, annientamenti\, nello smarrimento di un viaggio nelle sue molte ibride visioni.\nLanvideosource: si esprimono nella creazione di opere A / V live\, live set e prodotti di visual design\, esplorando margini di fusione tra domini acustici e visivi. \nRetina.it: la loro musica si muove su più linee di confine\, e si nutre di contrasti. La precisa sequenzialità tipica del digitale lascia spazio ad un fluire decisamente “analogico”\, dai contorni sfumati e spesso impercettibili\, un suono minimale in quanto ad elementi utilizzati\, ma “pieno” in quanto a profondità e densità. La seconda linea di confine è quella tra l’asettica perfezione formale del suono prodotto dalle macchine e l’approccio emotivo che guida le session d’improvvisazione da cui tutti i loro brani hanno origine. Da un lato troviamo la tendenza all’astrattismo\, evidente nei passaggi più “ambientali che trasportano l’ascoltatore in immaginari paesaggi lunari o a passeggio sull’orlo di un vulcano. Dall’altro c’è la forte\, imprescindibile componente ritmica\, essenzialmente fisica\, fatta di pulsazioni post-industriali ed echi tribali. \n
